Saks Beauty Favorite Things

As a frequent flyer, I have my trusted beauty products that help me to look my best and take care of myself while on the road. Carefully curated items that are lightweight, portable, and versatile. However, every season I hit “refresh” and look for new products that fill my active, on-the-go lifestyle and provide inspiration for my next adventure. With its access to the latest and greatest high-quality beauty products, I was thrilled when Saks asked me to participate as a Contributing Style & Travel Editor for Gentry magazine in the Saks Beauty Favorite Things Show #saksbeautyfavoritethings in San Francisco. Along with a panel of four other beauty and style experts, I discovered new products that are easy to toss in my bag and be prepared for takeoff...

Favorite Things:

Cle de Peau Beauté Le Sérum is a luxurious anti-aging serum that I use day and night while my skin recovers from jet lag. It reawakens, firms, smooths and brightens (What more can I ask for?!)

The YSL Touche Éclat Pen instantly brightens. Use for under-eye coverage to wake up your face, hide blemishes, highlight brow bones and diminish fine lines. (I love this product and use it daily whether home or on the road. It’s always with me!)

The Valmont Prime Renewing Pack facial cream mask is an ultra-moisturizing mask that soothes and revives dull, dry, plane-air-ravaged skin leaving it smooth and revitalized. (An essential step in my beauty routine when I hit the slopes or a desert destination).

The Tom Ford Cherry Lush Lip Color has staying power for long days or nighttime outings. A bolt of red lipstick can update your look or brighten your face anytime! (This lip color helped me glam it up on a recent trip to London where I stayed out ‘til the wee hours...)

Tom Ford Soleil Blanc Body Oil is essential for those beach or warm-weather destinations when you are baring your arms and legs. It moisturizes and adds a pretty sheen without feeling greasy or sticky. (Loved using it for summer evenings on the Amalfi Coast!)

The Trish McEvoy Confident Planner Collection has everything you need -- from concealer to washable mascara - in one pretty, red, compact zip-case. Ready to toss in that carry-on! (My chic packing essential for recent trips to NYC and London).

EB Florals Edition line. Eric Bauterbaugh - florist to the stars - offers floral fragrances that are bold, modern, flirty and a bit irreverent, like I imagine their creator to be! One for every mood. (Use with the Travalo perfume atomizer for travel).

Dior 5 Couleurs eyeshadow palette offers 33 shades so you have many choices of intense, rich colors and diversity including a base, 2 shadows, highlighter and liner all in one elegant compact. (I use the darkest shade as a liner for that smokey-eye look; perfect for my Paris vacation).

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation & Power Fabric Longwear High Cover Foundation is supposed to be like a 'second-skin' that doesn't settle in your fine lines and promises to be effective for up to 16 hours. The foundation comes in 20 shades and has SPF 25 protection. Apply a small amount with a blender brush for best results. (During an event that went from morning ‘til night; I felt fresh-looking and didn’t need a touch-up.)
